Down and dirty real estate agent feedback

By 4customers

Ever owned a house, put all you had into tearing out the old carpets, laying hardwood, finishing the basement, trimming the bushes, painting the shutters………. and then had to pay a realtor to sell your place for you? Has it hurt to see how much commission they’re making off your home?

We need realtors, sure. Just check out how long some of those homes have been on ComFree, and it’s clear that it’s not… um… how to put this nicely… lucrative to drop your home on a Web site and wait for the offers to come rolling in. Not in Edmonton, at least. And if the reports are accurate, not in any location in Canada or in the US.

But how badly do we need realtors? You want to sell your home and move on with equity (or, at least, without that mortgage payment), but at what cost? When is it totally worth it to have a real estate agent? And how can you find the right one for you? —- not just the one your Aunt Mildred recommended after talking with her second cousin’s dog trainer.

That’s what this start up is going to answer. With a website, of course. A recommendation engine and what one of the partners here calls “professional reputation management.”

It’s all going to be about what customers say.
